Photographer, Amber Bauerle of Frosted Productions shares her latest photography, specializing in commercial, editorial and fashion photography.

Thanks for visiting my photography blog! For pricing and information go to www.frostedproductions.com. I attempt to keep up to date on it, and have felt more motivated lately... so hopefully will be current eventually. This is a new blog since 2012, thought I would migrate my old posts over, but let's be honest, I don't think it will ever happen - so for now, enjoy my latest (and hopefully greatest). I usually write late at night, so please excuse my punctuality, sometimes I have something to say about a shoot, and other times I'm falling asleep, it's random, but at least you get to see the photos. I'm the only photographer and editor of Frosted Productions (get asked that a lot) - I will have admins help post photos, but I'm the one that always writes the posts - feel free to comment - I love to hear from others. xoxo

Fun engagement photography of a couple playing at the State Fair.

Engagement and Wedding Photographer in Utah

B&C at the Fair

I get asked a lot if I do wedding photography… I feel like I do every type of photography, it’s just a matter of what I have time for, so if an engaged couple books me 6 months in advance, then yes sometimes I will take a wedding, but I usually don’t have time to squeeze one in with all of the commercial photography I do.  I like doing photography on the “wedding day” but LOVE, LOVE, LOVE engagement photography and bridals/groomals, I do have many couples book me for engagement photos because they have an out of state wedding, or didn’t book me early enough to do their entire wedding photography package, etc.  So I’m not completely closing the door on Wedding Photography – always email info@frostedproductions.com if you have any questions about it, want to know my availability, pricing, etc.  Complete wedding photography packages start out at $3500.

Loved this shoot – I had so much fun with this couple, I believe it was last August…  we basically just played at the Fair until it got dark.  OH and I was obsessed with the bubbles that we found as you will be able to tell.

unique children fashion photography | sneak peek of editorial for Child Model Magazine’s Holdiay Issue

I went to Myrtle Beach a couple of weeks ago to shoot a couple of editorial’s for Child Model Magazine.  They were amazing to work with, the models were incredible… getting the vintage piano out on the beach was well let’s say an experience, but turned out great in the end.  Stay tuned for many more from this shoot…

Family Photography Session | Family Life – these photos depict what true family life is really like!

Utah Family Photographer

the “g” family against white, utah family photography session

I never get tired of a white backdrop… such a cute family, I had so much fun at this shoot.  Editing the photos I was smiling the whole time, especially on the “family photos”, because many of them depict exactly what family life is all about at that stage.  Little kids running everywhere, sippie cups, changing diapers, bottles, tantrums…. I’m very much in that stage myself right now and although it is exhausting, it is so worth it.

When I look at photos like these, for the most part they don’t feel posed, which is my style of course, but whats the big deal to see a sippie cup, bottle or binki in a photo?  Everybody is always trying to make a photo look perfect – but is your family perfect?  When you look at that photo in 20 years are you going to be able to see the individual personalities beeming through the photo?  That is my goal – don’t make a family photo perfect, make it real.

Engagement Photography photo slide shows of the most editorial, beautiful couple!

Utah Engagement Photography

l+j engagement photography video slide shows

Wow…. I really could do engagement shoots every single day. I love how “in love” couples are when they are engaged… not that it changes when they are married for years (well maybe a little.)   :)

I love music, I love photos to music, having years of dance training, choreographing and coaching allows me to “choreograph” the photos to music.  You will know what I mean if you have seen my photo slide shows.  I can’t wait to edit their wedding day videography, such a stunningly beautiful couple.

These videos are so fun to play during a reception, open house, luncheon, etc.  It’s also fun to add dating photos to them as well and then have bridal photos all looping on a DVD playing over and over.

All of my wedding packages come with free DVD slideshows of the engagement, bridals and wedding photos for FREE!  Just a little bonus to have…  If you are interested in booking a wedding with us, make sure to fill out our wedding form to get prices and a call from me to go over the details!

sadie is turning 4 – children photography session

I love this shoot, Sadie is so cute and fun.  She is actually only 3 years old (almost 4), she seems a lot older to me, I think she may be taller than my 4 year old though.  She was my little buddy, we kind of just went off and did our own thing, and she was great!  I even told her a princess story about “Princess Sadie” and her magical glitter (I think that’s how it went), so she would hold very still and look at me for some of her close ups. :)  A lot of multi-tasking while shooting manually, thinking about all of my settings, lighting, etc. trying to get her to look at the camera and then also thinking up a princess story at the same time to keep her still – not bad…. I think it worked though, I have to say these pics are just beautiful, and so candid – my favorite.

I was able to sneak a few shots of her little brother and sister too.
