Photographer, Amber Bauerle of Frosted Productions shares her latest photography, specializing in commercial, editorial and fashion photography.

Thanks for visiting my photography blog! For pricing and information go to www.frostedproductions.com. I attempt to keep up to date on it, and have felt more motivated lately... so hopefully will be current eventually. This is a new blog since 2012, thought I would migrate my old posts over, but let's be honest, I don't think it will ever happen - so for now, enjoy my latest (and hopefully greatest). I usually write late at night, so please excuse my punctuality, sometimes I have something to say about a shoot, and other times I'm falling asleep, it's random, but at least you get to see the photos. I'm the only photographer and editor of Frosted Productions (get asked that a lot) - I will have admins help post photos, but I'm the one that always writes the posts - feel free to comment - I love to hear from others. xoxo

Took photos for 5 minutes of Belle, but ended being some of my favorites of her to date.  I love the “romantic, warm” feel to these.  And her eyes in the third one!!  Love!

Words can’t express how much I love my little Laiya – the second I saw her photos submitted for a casting, I knew we would start to see each other quite frequently. ;)  She is local in Utah, and then travels many places with me while shooting as well – she is so breathtaking, but also so sweet – she never complains, she never cries, she is just sweet and happy 24/7.  She has even shot in -2 degrees for me – INSANE.

I saw an orchard the other day, liked the weather/lighting, called Laiya’s mom and 2 hours later we had some fun photos.  I had this dress from the amazing designer/brand Jumina out of Norway and wanted a really “desaturated” type look… the concept is that she is brining in Spring (the flower in the wagon).

Fall photos of my three little angels.

Took some quick snaps of my sweet babies this past Fall… of course they don’t get edited as fast as my other clients, but I force myself to make sure I get around to it otherwise in 10 years I would have a million photos that I never got around to editing of my own kids… and that would make me sad. I love them so much, the joy they bring to me is overwhelming just to think about.  Corbin, Hudson & Belle – 6, 4 & 2, my sweet angels… and how lucky am I that they got the most amazing baby blues.

A fave shoot of mine right now – horses in a field with beautiful children – monochromatic, soft and dreamy, it doesn’t get better.

Love, love, love.  These gorgeous kids are the owners of these gorgeous horses and ponies.  Their mother had dreamed of a shoot like this and finally made it happen.  I love how monochromatic everything was.

Sweet Laura Grace, photo shoot in Savannah.

One thing I love about my job is to work with new aspiring models and help, coach them on how to pose, work with their body angles, hold their chins, etc.  On my travel sessions, I don’t have a ton of time on my shoots, but I still hope that a lot of these girls walk away with learning something maybe?

I don’t know what it was when I traveled to Savannah, but I swear every girl I shot was the SWEETEST thing ever.  This little girl, Laura Grace, drove all the way from Mississippi to shoot with me while I was in Savannah.  She brought me a “clay vase” that was made from “Mississippi Mud” thought that was so cute and thoughtful.  Loved her and her mom so much, since this shoot I was lucky to see them again as I casted her for the AW14 Persnickety Catalog Shoot.

So many of my editorials are so extravagant with a set, props, etc. it was nice to just use the beautiful setting I have right in my own backyard.  I used all of Persnickety for this Editorial for Child Model Magazine, and used amazing h/m Nateal Ernst.

Totally obsessed that it started to rain and the dancing in the rain shots… love.

And for the finale of this gorgeous, amazing, beautiful couple…  see there engagement photos in the previous posts, I did have these posted a while ago on my site but needed to get them on my blog.

I get asked all of the time if I do wedding photography, I seldom have time to fit wedding’s into my schedule, but when couples book months in advance I will sometimes do a couple here and there.  I want to make sure the couple will have my utmost time and attention before the shoot is booked.  If you have questions about my wedding photography, please visit my wedding photography page here: Frosted Productions Utah Wedding Photographer

Another engagement shoot…  I LOVE when people will do fun and spontaneous things for photos, and that’s what this couple did at the end when they got in the splash pad/water.  I was so excited when they said they would really get in the water… I’m sure they will never forget their engagement shoot after that. ;)

And for the second part of this post…. “sigh” just love these two, and these candid photos just speak to their fun and sweet connection.  Jared is actually the Producer of “Studio C” – heard of it?  And Lindsey is an AMAZING fashion stylist, you can check her website here: http://lindseyshores.com/

If you missed the two photos to music videos that I posted in their first post, check them out below, and you can see their other engagement shoots previous to this one, part 1 and then a studio shoot they did.  I know many of my followers have probably seen photos from these shoots already, but I was trying to get the photos on my blog since I never had posted them.

Engagement Photography in a beautiful white field with autumn leaves.

Utah Engagement Photographer

wedding photographer in utah | magic field

So I do call this my “magic field”, it took me years to find and it is always so beautiful, year round. But this was of course after a major wind storm that blew tons of the autumn leaves off. It’s so hard every year to determine when to book the fall photo shoots and where to go, you have to literally follow the fall leaves around the mountains and valley, and they can completely change over night.

I loved this couple, I have many engaged couples that have me to their “engagement photos only” because they are having their wedding out of state, or I’m booked on their wedding dates, etc.  Which I honestly love, engagement photos are some of my favorite photos to take.  It is a nice refreshing change to all of the fashion and commercial work I do, I love the candid, raw feeling and the magic that engaged couples have with each other as they get closer to their wedding day.  It actually makes me always think about my own cute husband and how we were almost 11 years ago before we got married, it’s a good reminder to keep every day fresh and fun like engaged couples do.

I like to keep engagement photos sessions, and most photo sessions in general as candid and real as possible.  I want to capture real moments, real expressions, real emotion.
