Photographer, Amber Bauerle of Frosted Productions shares her latest photography, specializing in commercial, editorial and fashion photography.
Thanks for visiting my photography blog! For pricing and information go to www.frostedproductions.com. I attempt to keep up to date on it, and have felt more motivated lately... so hopefully will be current eventually. This is a new blog since 2012, thought I would migrate my old posts over, but let's be honest, I don't think it will ever happen - so for now, enjoy my latest (and hopefully greatest). I usually write late at night, so please excuse my punctuality, sometimes I have something to say about a shoot, and other times I'm falling asleep, it's random, but at least you get to see the photos. I'm the only photographer and editor of Frosted Productions (get asked that a lot) - I will have admins help post photos, but I'm the one that always writes the posts - feel free to comment - I love to hear from others. xoxo
The second shoot I did for Persnickety Clothing Company while I was in Miami – was with this gorgeous little red head, Sophia… she has so much energy, I just followed her around the beach while she played.
When I went to Miami a couple of months ago to shoot an editorial for Child Model Magazine, I flew out a day early to do some private shoots, and ended up have a Persnickety rep fly out to fill my day with Persnickety- yay! I guess I can’t get enough of them, whether I’m in Utah, Miami or wherever I know my blog seems to be a lot of Persnickety. But I do love their clothes, and love the people there, such a great company to work with.
I got to meet this sweet little beach babe while I was shooting in Miami… she booked a private shoot with me while I was there. So fun and cute, I loved her sassy and fun personality. I basically just followed her around as she played on the beach. Loved her mom and dad too… so fun to meet so many people around the Country.
A few photos from a little shoot I did for Persnickety’s SS14 Catalog. Beautiful models – don’t you think? My little Belle got to be there too… ;) She was actually really naughty, but is getting better since then – lol. All kids between the ages of 18 months and 3 years are pretty difficult to do photo shoots with, girls get a little easier quicker at about 2 1/2 years. But of course you can still get great photos of kids within that age range – just takes some little patience and tricks from the photographer. ;)
I wasn’t going to do a Christmas Card this past year – I was so crazy busy I didn’t have time to keep up with anything, I would run from one thing to another, none stop working all hours of the night, all year… I had some big commercial clients that I started working for that I wasn’t expecting and didn’t want to lose the opportunity with, so worked for them as well as all the stuff that was booked with me in advance – so it was CRAZY, CRAZY.
On a Saturday a couple of weeks before Christmas, I all of the sudden just decided to grab my kids and go to the railroad tracks to quickly get these shots. It was FREEZING and they lasted about 3 minutes each – we got there a little later than I would have liked, the light was gone, they were cold and cranky, and I took a few photos each and we were done – BUT still got some really cute ones I thought.
I had the Polar Express idea sometime in November, a lot of my ideas just come in my head, I don’t try to think of them in most cases they just pop up there. Totally obsessed with Blu Pony Vintage – these clothes were half the reason I made myself get some photos for Christmas – I couldn’t resist.
Took some quick snaps of my sweet babies this past Fall… of course they don’t get edited as fast as my other clients, but I force myself to make sure I get around to it otherwise in 10 years I would have a million photos that I never got around to editing of my own kids… and that would make me sad. I love them so much, the joy they bring to me is overwhelming just to think about. Corbin, Hudson & Belle – 6, 4 & 2, my sweet angels… and how lucky am I that they got the most amazing baby blues.
My little sweet snowflake… after the Snowflake Editorial I did for Child Model Magazine (posting that next), Belle wanted to me to take some photos of her, had KokoBlush.com there doing wardrobe already, so she threw this cute outfit together for her. She makes me so happy.

Say hello to my little birdie… I LOVE shooting Chloe SO much. Check out her amazing deep blue eyes. Some summer family and children portraits of an adorable family with the cutest kids, could you die? Forgot to post this… don’t do family portrait photography anymore, but still squeeze some in here and there.
OK – really – yes. The famous rock band, Imagine Dragons – how could I be so lucky to take photos of them while they were filming their music video, “On Top of the World”. This was produced by Jared Shores, Directed by Matt Eastin, and Co-Directed by Corey Fox. There were so many photos, there is going to be like 5 posts, since we shot over a few days non-stop. The set was AMAZING.
If you haven’t seen the final video check it out below, and take a look at the photos after and you will see how a lot of how the video came together, at least this post is the first part of the video, a few more posts to come showing you more. I personally love behind the scenes stuff, but maybe that is because I’m a photographer. And these guys are HUGE right now – if you don’t know who they are you must not listen to main stream music on the radio, which is okay – but check em’ out!
Every band member was super down to earth and nice, I had a great time.
